We will take part to the Long Night of Research in Bozen (LUNA – La Lunga notte della ricerca a Bolzano) on 30th September 2016!

Come and visit us at Museion, the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art of Bozen, in South Tyrol, Italy. You will have the possibility to explore the verbo-visual collection Museion shares with Mart, the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art of Trento and Rovereto, through our VVV portal and our game PAGANS.

Rachele Sprugnoli will be the Italian representative at the next CLARIN-PLUS workshop "Working with Digital Collections of Newspapers".

The aim of the workshop is to demonstrate how the application of language and speech technology tools and services on digital language material can advance humanities and social sciences research in fields other than linguistics.

"Materiale Immateriale" is the exhibition that concludes the VVV - Verbo Visuale Virtuale project funded by CaRiTRo. The aim of the project was the creation of an online digital archive of verbo-visual artworks from the Mart Museum in Trento and the Museion in Bozen.

"This year, Day of DH will take place on April 8th. The goal of the project is to create a web site that weaves together a picture of the participant’s activities on the day which answers the question, “Just what do digital humanists really do?” Participants document their day through photographs and text, all of which is published on a community online platform (which, for this year, lives at www.dayofdh2016.uned.es).

We are happy to announce that on 8 and 9 March we will host the kick-off meeting of the SIMPATICO (SIMplifying the interaction with Public Administration Through Information technology for Citizens and cOmpanies) H2020 Project, coordinated by Fondazione Bruno Kessler. The research units involved in the project are Smart Community Lab and Digital Humanities. We will deal mainly with text simplification in the public administration domain.

The final event of MADRE project will be held in Trento on December, 18th.

The MADRE project is a joint project involving the University of Trento and the Digital Humanities unit at FBK. It has been funded by the Office for Equal Opportunities and Family Policies of the Autonomous Province of Trento, in order to support equal opportunities and better understand discourse on gender.

The second edition of the Italian Computational Linguistics Conference (CLiC-it 2015) will be located in Povo (TN) on December 3-4 2015 and follows the first successful edition, held in Pisa in December 2014. The conference will also be the first meeting of the newly established Association for Italian Computational Linguistics.

Sara Tonelli, head of our group, is the conference chair together with Cristina Bosco (University of Turin) and Fabio Massimo Zanzotto (University of Rome Tor Vergata).

Our group is the local organizing committee.

In the framework of the MADRE project, we will give a talk (in Italian) on new tools and approaches to analyse public discourse on gender and equal opportunities. On this occasion, we will present the novel extensions of the ALCIDE platform, i.e. automatic network-based analysis and visualisation of large corpora.

The EUROPEAN LITERACY NETWORK (ELN) Inaugural Conference will be held at Charles University (Prague) from the 7th to the 8th of November, 2015. The conference is a two-day event with Working Groups Symposia, Interactive Sessions, and Roundtables; it is open to ELN members as well as to other researchers, stakeholders, and general public.

RENA is a an independent and civic association that, since 2007, has the objective of bringing together the communities of change in Italy and of developing tools and methods to value, mobilize and integrate the efforts of members and the local communities they represent.
