Rachele Sprugnoli is part of the program committee of the workshop "Corpora in the Digital Humanities (CDH)". The workshop will be a co-located event of the 15th Workshop on Treebank and Linguistic Theories, which will take place in January 2017 at Indiana University, Bloomington (USA).

We will attend the 26th International Conference on Computational Linguistics (Coling2016) in Osaka, during which we will present three papers.
The 5th evaluation campaign EVALITA 2016 will be held in Naples, as a satellite event of the 3rd Italian Conference on Computational Linguistics - CLiC-it 2016 (December 5-7, 2016).
EVALITA 2016 is an initiative of AILC (Associazione Italiana di Linguistica Computazionale).
We will present two papers at the Third Italian Conference on Computational Linguistics (CLIC2016), which will be held in Naples.

Sara Tonelli has been invited to give a talk at the workshop on "Initiativen und Innovationen in den Digital Humanities" that will take place 24 and 25 November in Meran.
Sara Tonelli will take part to the panel on "Digital Humanities" organized during the Euregio Research Conference on "Shifting Boundaries".

Rachele Sprugnoli will be the Italian representative at the next CLARIN-PLUS workshop "Working with Digital Collections of Newspapers".
The aim of the workshop is to demonstrate how the application of language and speech technology tools and services on digital language material can advance humanities and social sciences research in fields other than linguistics.
Sara Tonelli will be part of the organizing committee of the workshop "From Digitization to Knowledge: Resources and Methods for Semantic Processing of Digital Works/Texts". The workshop will be co-located with the Digital Humanities conference 2016.
The first meeting of the SIMPATICO H2020 European project will be held at the University of Sheffiled from June 7th to June 8th 2016.

Stefano Menini will present is PhD research to the Data and Web Science Group (focus group on Natural Language Processing and Information Retrieval, headed by Prof. Ponzetto) at the Mannheim University on April 18, 2016.
"Materiale Immateriale" is the exhibition that concludes the VVV - Verbo Visuale Virtuale project funded by CaRiTRo. The aim of the project was the creation of an online digital archive of verbo-visual artworks from the Mart Museum in Trento and the Museion in Bozen.
"This year, Day of DH will take place on April 8th. The goal of the project is to create a web site that weaves together a picture of the participant’s activities on the day which answers the question, “Just what do digital humanists really do?” Participants document their day through photographs and text, all of which is published on a community online platform (which, for this year, lives at www.dayofdh2016.uned.es).
We are happy to announce that on 8 and 9 March we will host the kick-off meeting of the SIMPATICO (SIMplifying the interaction with Public Administration Through Information technology for Citizens and cOmpanies) H2020 Project, coordinated by Fondazione Bruno Kessler. The research units involved in the project are Smart Community Lab and Digital Humanities. We will deal mainly with text simplification in the public administration domain.

The final event of MADRE project will be held in Trento on December, 18th.
The MADRE project is a joint project involving the University of Trento and the Digital Humanities unit at FBK. It has been funded by the Office for Equal Opportunities and Family Policies of the Autonomous Province of Trento, in order to support equal opportunities and better understand discourse on gender.
