On March 14 we will present the results of our study on the evolution of students' writing skills jointly with IPRASE, the Institute for Educational Research and Experimentation of the Trento province. The event will take place at Iprase from 9 am to 2 pm in Rovereto.
Sara Tonelli will give a talk on the analysis of high-school final exams from a linguistic point of view, to study the evolution of neo-standard Italian and discuss how it has changed over time. The talk is part of the seminar series "Linguistic Conversations" held at the Department of Letters and Philosophy at the University of Trento.
Sara Tonelli will give a talk at University of Modena and Reggio Emilia on the ALCIDE and Epistolario project, detailing the process that led to the development of the digital edition of De Gasperi's documents. The title of the talk (in Italian) is: I progetti di digitalizzazione dell'epistolario e dei discorsi pubblici di Alcide De Gasperi.
Sara Tonelli will give a talk at LUMSA University in Rome, Dept. of Humanities, Communication Studies and Psychology, during the symposium "Analogico e Digitale: Una Sfida tra Intelligenze". She will describe the work carried out to create the digital edition of De Gasperi's letters within the Epistolario project.

Sara Tonelli has been invited to give a presentation at the symposium on "Computational Text Analysis and Historical Change", which will take place at Umeå University in Sweden from September 4 to 6. More on the program here.
This year ACL 2019, the Annual Meeting of the Association for Computational Linguistics, will be organised in Florence, Italy. The Italian NLP community is involved in the event through the commitment of AILC, Associazione Italiana di Linguistica Computazionale, whose board members Bernardo Magnini, Simonetta Montemagni and Alessandro Lenci are also local organisers of ACL 2019.

The Digital Humanities (DH) Conference is the annual international conference of the Alliance of Digital Humanities Organizations. In 2019, the DH Conference (DH2019) will take place in Utrecht, the Netherlands. During two days of pre-conference workshops and the three-day conference, participants will present their newest research and the applications of their work.

Sara Tonelli will give a 3-hour lecture in the framework of the OASI Master's School (Oltre Advanced School of Innovation) at the Dept. of Engineering, University of Calabria. The talk will be about the challenges of Digital Humanities, especially in the context of historical archives and digital cultural heritage.
Coleen Holloway and Emanuele Sigismondi from University of Bologna (History and Oriental Studies) used the ALCIDE plaform to study the concepts of "people" and "multitude" during their internship in our group at Fondazione Bruno Kessler. This talk will summarise their findings and provide insight into how to use digital technologies to carry out cultural studies.
Nell'ambito del festival EDUCA 2019, organizzeremo insieme all'Unità e-Health un laboratorio con alcuni studenti delle scuole superiori per riflettere sul fenomeno del cyberbullismo, analizzare il linguaggio dei social media e commentare insieme alcune interazioni prese da social network. L'attività afferisce al progetto EIT Digital CREEP.
