Historical Content Analysis
We will participate with our system ALCIDE to the Festival of Methods, which will take place June 30th in Siena. This event draws on the tradition of shared tasks in Computational Linguistics, where conference participants are given the chance to all work on the same data with the same research question.
The abstract "Annotation of Temporal Information on Historical Texts: a Small Corpus for a Big Challenge" by Manuela Speranza and Rachele Sprugnoli has been accepeted at the "Formal Representation and Digital Humanities" workshop. The worskhop will take place in Verona on June, 28th-29th 2016.
We have two projects listed in the showcase provided by the European Association for Digital Humanities (EADH) on its website. These two projects have been accepted by EADH for their meaningful contribution to Digital Humanities in Europe.

Three papers submitted by members of our group have been accepted at the Annual Conference on Digital Humanities (DH2016) to be held in Krakow, Poland.
Six papers have been accepted at LREC 2016 - the 10th Language Resources and Evaluation Conference, 23-28 May 2016, Portorož (Slovenia).
Four papers have been accepted at CLiC-it 2015, the second Italian Conference on Computational Linguistics (3-4 December 2015, Trento).
Starting from today the DH group will host the intern Angelo Basile, who will work for a month at a project related to natural language processing applied to Dante's literary work.
The short paper "Recognizing Biographical Sections in Wikipedia" authored by Alessio Palmero Aprosio and Sara Tonelli has been accepted at the 2015 Conference on Empirical Methods in Natural Language Processing (EMNLP 2015).
