The final event of MADRE project will be held in Trento on December, 18th.

The MADRE project is a joint project involving the University of Trento and the Digital Humanities unit at FBK. It has been funded by the Office for Equal Opportunities and Family Policies of the Autonomous Province of Trento, in order to support equal opportunities and better understand discourse on gender.

The unprecedented availability of vast amounts of digital sources provides tremendous opportunities for political scientists, social and cultural historians as well as for economists and sociologists. The overall intention of this workshop is to examine how this new abundance of primary sources could be adopted for better understanding the Continentwide rise of Euroscepticism.

Sara Tonelli

In the context of the RENA Summer School in Matera, Sara Tonelli has been invited to give a talk on how computational linguistics can support policy making and citizen participation. 

RENA is a an independent and civic association that, since 2007, has the objective of bringing together the communities of change in Italy and of developing tools and methods to value, mobilize and integrate the efforts of members and the local communities they represent.

The Italian NLP community is involved in the event through the commitment of AILC, Associazione Italiana di Linguistica Computazionale, whose board members Bernardo Magnini, Simonetta Montemagni and Alessandro Lenci are also local organisers of ACL 2019.
