The third edition of Festival delle Lingue (Festival of Languages) will take place in Rovereto on March 8-10 2018. The Festival is an opportunity to meet and exchange between teachers, students, families, experts and trainers.

Sara Tonelli è stata invitata a partecipare alla Giornata di Studio in memoria di Andrea Paoloni su "Tecnologie vocali e del linguaggio naturale per i beni culturali" organizzata da ForumTAL, dall'Associazione Italiana di Scienze della Voce e dal Dipartimento di Studi Umanistici della Università di Roma TRE. Il titolo del suo intervento sarà "Riflessioni sulle Digital Humanities in Italia".

During the official presentation of the results of the public consultation La Buona Scuola (#labuonascuola), the Italian Minister of Education, Universities and Research will show a demo of the web-based platform PIERINO (Piattaforma per l'Estrazione ed il Recupero di Informazioni Online) we developed in collaboration with Tommaso Caselli Tommaso Caselli (Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam).
As part of the activities of Digital Humanities group in FBK, we are organizing a one-day workshop on "Digital Humanities: Current state and Future challenges". The event will include invited talks from prominent scholars and experts from the Digital Humanities area, especially those active at the intersection between humanities and human language technologies. We would like to know more about past successful experiences and ongoing projects all over Europe.
Sara Tonelli will be one of the speakers of the training course for journalists: "Children's rights versus the right to inform: linguistics tools and deontological rules". She will give a talk about computatonal linguistics and the use of NLP tools to analyse media discourse on children.
The training course will be held in Milan on November, 20th.
The EUROPEAN LITERACY NETWORK (ELN) Inaugural Conference will be held at Charles University (Prague) from the 7th to the 8th of November, 2015. The conference is a two-day event with Working Groups Symposia, Interactive Sessions, and Roundtables; it is open to ELN members as well as to other researchers, stakeholders, and general public.
ELN is funded by COST Action IS1401.
