Coease is an online tool that computes several readability indices on Italian data, inspired by the English Coh-Metrix.

Just copy&paste your Italian text and try it! Note that the text should be in UTF-8 format and should be longer than two sentences.

The indices implemented in Coease are described in:

Tonelli, Sara and Manh, Ke Tran and Pianta, Emanuele (2012): Making readability indices readable. In Proceedings of the First Workshop on Predicting and Improving Text Readability for Target Reader Populations (PITR2012), pp. 40-48.

Credits: The web interface was implemented by Peteris Nikiforovs during his internship in Summer 2012.
