In the context of her PhD research, Rachele Sprugnoli has prepared a questionnaire about the notion of event for historians and the interest towards the use of Natural Language Processing tools to support historical investigations.
The answers to the questionnaire will help find out how historians define events encoded in texts and will contribute to develop linguistic annotation guidelines to train and test a tool for the automatic recognition of events, temporal expressions and temporal relations in historical texts.
The final aim is to add this tool in the ALCIDE platform.
