Short bio
I am currently a researcher at the Institute for the History and Theory of Architecture, ETH Zurich.
I hold a Degree in Medieval Archaeology from the University of Pisa. I was research assistant in the EPOCH project at the University of Florence (until 2006). Then, I was information architect and project manager at Cultura Italia, the Italian Digital Library of the Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage (until 2013). Until recently, I was a senior researcher in PARTHENOS project (Austrian Academy of Sciences, until 2019). My research focuses on the semantic description of cultural heritage resources and metadata curation.
Starting from 2017 I am also a PhD student in Information and Communication Technology at the University of Trento in collaboration with the Fondazione Bruno Kessler (FBK) under the supervision of Sara Tonelli and Marco Rospocher. Here I am carrying out my research project focused on automatic metadata quality check in the domain of cultural heritage. The goal of this project is to define a methodology and tools to assist metadata curators.
Doing my research project in the Digital Humanities group I got the opportunity to develop some specific skills in the field of Natural Language Processing and Machine Learning.
