TitleCurse and blessing of Digital Humanities: doing research and looking for new opportunities across the boundary of different disciplines

Speaker: Dr. Sara Tonelli, FBK – presentation: Paolo Traverso (FBK)

Abstract:
Crossing the boundaries between different research areas is a challenging task because it implies that consolidated research practices and goals are re-shaped in order to address new research questions. Nevertheless, it opens up new collaboration opportunities and increases access to diverse funding sources. In this talk, I will discuss the above topics in the light of my experience as coordinator of the Digital Humanities joint research project. This project, which started 3 years ago, represents the first attempt inside FBK to set up a unitwhose research goals span across ICT and Humanities studies.

Location:

Aula 102, FBK
