This message is on behalf of the “Towards EVALITA 2016” area chairs within the CLiC-it 2015 conference namely Rachele Sprugnoli (DH group, FBK), Viviana Patti (University of Turin), and Franco Cutugno (University Federico II of Naples).

CLiC-it 2015 (http://clic2015.fbk.eu) is the second Italian Conference on Computational Linguistics that will be held in Trento in December 2015. Beyond the research areas covered by the conference also during its first edition in 2014 (e.g. Machine Translation, Linguistic Resources, Spoken language processing), this year a new track devoted to the evaluation of tools for Italian NLP and speech technologies has been added. The “Towards EVALITA 2016: challenges, methodologies and tasks” track aims at preparing the ground for the new edition of the EVALITA campaign in 2016.

EVALITA is a periodic evaluation campaign of NLP and speech tools for the Italian language that has been organized around a set of shared tasks since 2007 (http://www.evalita.it).

In this context, a questionnaire has been designed with the aim of collecting suggestions that can help to increase the involvement of industrial companies in the next EVALITA campaign. The questionnaire is directed to members of industrial companies working on the Italian language in the field of text/speech analytics. The questionnaire is very short, all individual responses remain anonymous.
