RAMBLE ON is a new project aimed at analysing the mobility of past famous individuals by using Natural Language Processing modules applied to unstructured texts, more specifically to biographies in the English Wikipedia.
The current release (January 2017) includes:
- the RAMBLE ON NAVIGATOR in two versions: 1) an online interface where the user can interactively explore motion trajectories of famous historical figures lived in the first half of the XX Century; 2) a stand-alone version where the user can explore the same trajectories on her/his own computer or upload her/his own set of movements taken from Wikipedia biographies
- the fisrt version of the RAMBLE ON EXTRACTOR, that is the script to generate trajectories of movements starting from English Wikipedia biographies.
All is available in our Github repository:
- The stand-alone version of the NAVIGATOR: https://github.com/dhfbk/rambleon-navigator (license: CC-BY-NC-ND 4.0)
- The code of the EXTRACTOR: https://github.com/dhfbk/rambleon (license: GPLv3).
